When it shines

Fall. From September the bait leaves the marshes and creeks, and a paddle tail on a jighead is the bait most guides tie on first for redfish and speckled trout. In freshwater the same thing happens with shad — bass push them into the backs of creeks and this profile is what they're eating.

Slow roll it just off the bottom, or hop it and let it fall. Most bites come on the fall.
